Default power steering problems

Hi , I'm new, so if this post seems stupid, it probably is. I have a 1995 f150 which is the love of my life. Ok , so here is the problem. the power steering hose started to leak, so, I replaced it, next the other hose started to leak, replaced that one. filled the power steering pump with fluid, and all the fluid started to blow out of the top of the steering box. I'm old and on social security and not much of a mechanic. The tires are good and so is the motor and transmission, but my problem is that will it cost me more to fix the steering than what the truck is worth. I think of whole steering thing is shot as I can't turn the steering wheel. any ideas will be of much help.. thanks

The motor has to be running when you turn the wheel or fluid will blow out the top of the reservoir, if that's pertinent to your issue.
