Default Power Steering line

After two weeks of being good my new power steering decides to spice it up.
The return line is leaking at the steering gear. I took it off and put it back on the threads were fine and not crossed. the only thing i can thing of is some kind of sealing ring but there was none on my old gear and the shop where i got the gear + pump only supplied me with one ring which went on the pump end. Should I find myself a seal or is the problem with the line itself?

Are sure its the return line, on my 93 V8, return line at gear box has threads and at pump it just clamp on it.

Yeah its the return hose I double checked on fordparts.com part 3A713 Mines a 4.9 '94 if that makes a difference, I didn't think it would because when I was looking for steering gear I was told I could go back a few years. Also the leak is at the gear not the pump.
