Default Power problems

I am having power problems with my '89 302 xlt. I have changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor, cleaned carbon build-up in the intake and the EGR valve, but it still has NO power. Right at the front end of my catalytic converter (right before the o2 sensor), I can feel an air leak. I put my hand over the tailpipe to verify the leak and the suction/hissing noise got louder. (The truck sounds loud and crappy during harder acceleration as well, losing a ton of gas mileage *** well). For anybody out there, do you think that would be the cause for my big loss of power? I am going to pull my 02 sensor out and see how it runs too.
