check this plug on the drivers side fender back corner it sends power to engine from eec i had a bad pin connection in the plug and it was a pain to find my problem but this was it .I could be diving and it was like someone was turning off the car i could let it sit and it would crank back up after a while which makes no sense but it did and a new pig tail fixed it .they do sell the pig tail so they must go bad

That doesn't apply to his '89; the ICM wasn't on the fender until '92.
