Please help ..Truck won't start how do I diagnose problem
#11
Can I switch the fuel pump relay for another one to see if it is working ? Are all the similar looking relays the same ? Oh I tried both tanks.....neither fuel pump came on...

O think you can swap it with the horn relay. So it has power right? It turns on but no pump noise? There is a way to jump two pins of the diagnostic connector to turn the pumps on. Can remember which right now...
Also, since you have dual tanks, you might want to make sure your tank switch is still good.

Ok u asked me if it has power .....not sure if the relay has power......so hold on let me take a step back what exactly do I check first......I checked the fuel inertia switch and it is on ....but maybe it is bad......I would like to test the fuel inertia switch by bypassing it...not sure how though .....or should I be checking the fuel pump relay first.....I will have to get my tester out.....guess I could just test both switch and relay .....ahhhh where do I start.....? I checked fuel pump fuse already.....thanks again for everyone's help
