Default Please help! Heavy surging!

Hey everyone, I'm having bad engine problems. I have a 1993 5.0 with the E4OD transmission.
First of all, it says it's in 4WD low range, when I have it in 2WD. When I put my truck in drive, it'll get up to around 20 MPH, and then it'll start surging horribly and it won't respond to throttle. It just surges. After it gets to around 35 MPH, it'll stabilize but it won't go over 1,000 RPM. I can put it in first or second by using the gear selector and it'll run fine, but when I put it in drive, it just goes haywire and surges. I have a YouTube video of it surging if you guys want to see what I'm talking about: http://youtu.be/kvFTK_SqsqU

Thanks for the help everyone!

Did you check for codes?

If I were to guess, maybe the TPS.

And you're abs and brake warning light are on. How's the brake fluid level?

It's not throwing a code. I'd have guessed TPS too, but the throttle works great in first and second gear.

the TPS could have a "dead spot" in its sweep (guessing) at any rate it may be a good idea to remove it, inspect it and put it back on/swap it out for another. (you can return the sensor just say the problem was a gunked up sensor, my parts store takes stuff back if thats the case)

Hmm. The TPS works great in first and second gear. Just not drive. But I'll check it anyway.

Well, finally took it to the shop. I'll let you all know what's up when they get it figured out.
