Default please help with exhaust!

yet another question on exhaust but i just cant find the answer im looking for. i took out one of the 2 cats, brought the pipe into a spintech muffler and brought it out in front of the tire. it sounds ok at best but just not loud enough for my preference. ive been told that bringing it out in its original place (behind the tire) would help. also taking out the other cat since there isnt emissions where i live. i was just wondering if you guys could give me some input. thanks.

Less Pipe = More Sound

Less Bends and other things to deflect sound around from having to put it over the axle so Side Exit Exhaust is louder than puttin it out behind the tires.

could it be the muffler then? i have 2 thrush glasspacks i can mess with(pretty much an entire exhaust system but its on my old 79 chevy so i would have to modify) but like i said in an earlier post, i want to stay away from the old crackle and pop sound that goes with older trucks and "hick" trucks. its a 1991

Muffler has a lot to do with it. Each muffler has a different tone, some better thn others. Try the glasspacks and see if you like it any better. Can't hurt to try

Super 44 and ford racing headers on my 5.0 HO no cats, rear exit, beautiful sound I'd almost go 40 series tho 44 make it sound alot nastier than it actually is there is no popping and crackling
