I was cranking my truck on and off trying to adjust the timing, and i cranked it and it wouldnt stop turning over, so i unhooked the battery real quick. today i tryed changing the ignition key switch and still does it. If anybody knows whats going on i would greatly appreciate it.. 88' f150 5.0

Might be stuck solenoid, tap it, if it does not stop, pull the small push on wires and see if it stops, if it does switch on bottom of column might be bad.

The solenoid by the battery, and the switch on the bottom of column sometimes goes bad.
