hey guys, My power steering box seal went bad, and i have to take the pitman parm off, Having some difficulty. anybody know if i have to have a special puller from ford? cause I've tried 2 different ones and neither of em fit becasue of the front housing for my 4x4. any ideas? get back to me.

First get the arm itself where the splines are pretty hot with a torch, tap the arm with a hammer, dont bang it, it should loosen it up a little.

 

thanks, Although i try to avoid using a torch, i managed to use a puller for ball joints to get it loose enough to where the ears o nthe pitman arm puller could get between the arm and the box. thanks though!!
