I have a 1988 f150 302. It has a pinging problem. It got code 33 KOER, KOEO. So I started diagnosing the EGR system. The EGR doesn’t get vacuum when I rev it up, it was at temp maybe 2-3k rpm was under the hood so I don’t know I held it for a few seconds and got no vacuum. I used the loaner vacuum pump to measure it since the fitting for the vacuum gauge I have was too small. The EVR is reading good on the OHM reading between the pins 49.5. And the EVP won’t read any ohms between any of the pins. Did I test the EVR vacuum right? The EVP readings stay at 0. The EVP sensor did have power, 4.9v. The EVR did as well 11.04v. Is 11.04 good for the EVR? The EGR valve is good I applied vacuum to it and it does move. The video I watched said the EVP should be 4-6v. So it’s good there. Thanks for any help!

This is what I’ve come up with for a new EVR. The motor craft one is not made anymore, and I can’t find a new one. I don’t like the idea of another brand but if it’s all there is that’s all I can do

this is the EVP I came up with O’Reilly says call the store to order so if I can get it from them I will.

I believe your EVP solenoid is bad, it's a common problem. . Resistance checks don't tell the whole story. You can verify by teeing the vacuum lines in and out to a vacuum gauge to see if its working. I would also make sure the EGR passages are clear and the EGR valve is not stuck closed by applying vacuum to your EGR valve while idling. The engine should die if the passages are clear and the valve itself is working..
If I put the HVAC vacuum hose on the EGR it does try die. It did die one time but it tries to idle at 200-400. But what about the EVR? Is that just not giving the vacuum to the EGR since the EVP isn’t giving it a signal?
The EGR valve isn’t stuck, as it moves with a vacuum pump on it.
Just checking to that I read the ohm reading right and it’s 49.5 and not something higher?
This is for the EVR.

Set multimeter to 20k and got readings on the EVP. This is the vref and EVP pins This is the signal return and the EVP reading
So now the EVP checks out and I need an EVR since it’s not giving the EGR vacuum?

This is my other thread on the problem, post #30 I think has a video of the noise, I don't have the video on my laptop so I can't post it here. If anyone could listen to it and tell me if it is a ping im hearing that would be great. Thanks!
