I got this tune up kit except i put motorcraft plugs back in. And it started pinging. I had never heard this truck ping until then ever.

I had an instance where the new distributor cap did not fit snugly onto the distributor cap adapter, so I had to get a different distributor cap adapter for the new cap to fit snugly.
Or, you may need to adjust your timing to compensate for the increased spark.
