Picked up a camper shell
Drove a few hours over the weekend and picked up a Glasstite camper shell -

Matches the truck about as good as I could have hoped. Its off a '97 F250 and it fits fine, it being a little newer and kept inside for part of its life the red is a little deeper, but not bad.
Got a few questions
1 - What's the best way to wire the brake and interior lights?
Searching the internet it looks like on some F150's Ford left a green wire tucked away for the brake light, but I can't find it. Some posts claim its tucked up by the bumper, some the front fender. No idea.
I might splice off the trailer light wiring and use a pair of diodes so it doesn't blink with the turn signals.
For the interior lights it looks like I'll need to run off the battery, probably give it an in-line fuse.
2 - The Lift-O-Mat gas springs on the rear glass are iffy. They'll hold it all the way open but that's it. No chance they can be rebuilt?
3 - The plastic bedliner on my tailgate comes over the lip, I'm just assuming there's no way to adjust the rear glass so it'll seal properly (?). Took the liner off the tailgate and it seems to seal fine without it, but it was nice to have.
Cheers.

Can't help you with the wiring, but I can tell ya that replacements for the gas springs are fairly inexpensive on eBay. Just gotta match up the part numbers.
The seal, in my experience, always was made by securing the latches, and the glass being held in place. Otherwise the glass always had a gap.
I think that top looks great on your truck!
