Default Performance Module?

I've been thinking about getting this.

Anyone have one of these in their truck? or have had experience with them? Any feedback is much appreciated!

Complete waste of money fake garbage. There is no plug and play module or chip that will grant 50+ HP and 8 extra MPG. If it were that easy everyone would do it.

What you get for 56$ is a plastic box with a bunch of wires and resistors you could make for 5$ which does absolutely nothing to the engine but trick a sensor or two and makes the PCM run the engine rich. How is that supposed to increase HP and save fuel?

This is what 56$ gets you, notice how no where on the site give you a real image of the thing.

Just remember, these trucks are pushing 17+ years on outdated technology. Remember how high end you're home computer was back in 1994 running Windows 3.0 or 95?

Exactly, there are very little to no programing variables on these trucks and especially OBDI. Not to say there aren't any chip out there, but for a bone stock engine and without a re-flashed PCM there is absolutely no gain from them or very little that you notice for these 500$+ chips.

You have to put the money elsewhere into engine internals, heads, cams, headers, intakes, ignition etc to get any real numbers.
