Default PCM Location

Anyone know where the PCM is located on a 1996 F150 4.9L. Also, is it blue, silver or black?

Behind the driver side kick panel. As far as color, I believe it'll be a silver box. It takes a bit of fumbling to get to.

I finally got my ETM today! The PCM sticks through the firewall from the engine compartment into the cab. The connector is accessed from the engine compartment.

Thanks you for the help.

I have a no spark/no start condition and it looks like it is a high resistance condition in the GR/O PIP wire between C101 and the PCM. It's a shielded wire so this repair should be interesting. There is a splice, S145 I think, that will be the first thing I try to find. I have good continuity from the PCM to the ICM on the GR/O but like 2M ohms between the PCM and C101. That will for sure kill the PIP signal to the PCM and cause the no start condition. Just what I needed was a new hobby!
