Default P235?!?!

Why did Ford put these Pizza Cutter Tires on these pickups lol? Chevies come with P265. Anyway I was wondering what the biggest tire size I could go to without a lift?

Yeah, you can run 33's... but if you like having anything resembling "suspension" travel that's retarded. 31s let your suspension move and not kill your fenders

Many agree that 31s fill in the wheel wells a lot nicer, but they eat mpgs for lunch.

Default Ford Code: T7W = P265/75R15XL SBR All Terrain Tires

31" is as tall as you want with a 4WD stock suspension,
if you go bouncing off-road.

32" is as tall as you want with a 4WD stock suspension,
if you go slow off-road.

33" is as tall as you want with a 4WD stock suspension,
if you do not go off-road.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ford Code: T77 = P235/75R15XL - 1994-95 2WD & 4WD
Ford Code: T78 = P235/75R15XL - 1994-95 2WD & 4WD
Ford Code: T7Q = P235/75R15XL - 1994-95 2WD & 4WD
Ford Code: T7P = P235/75R15XL - 1994-95 2WD & 4WD

Ford Code: T7W = P265/75R15XL SBR All Terrain on 1994-95 4WD only.

Note: These Tire sizes and Codes may extend to all 1987-96 F-150's.

Can't say I've noticed much drop in my mileage. Maybe 1 mpg max gone. I still pull in 16-17

That's not necessarily true. My 1996 F150 4x4 came stock from the factory with 265's, the door sticker lists that as the stock tire size. I am running 31's, they are only slightly bigger than the 265's, and I recently got 15.7mpg hauling my atv and my hunting gear to my hunting club. I have gotten as much as 18.7mpg without any load in the bed, that is keeping her under 65mph.
