Old thread, but it saved me a bunch of money - P0136 code. I was ready to replace all the Ox sensors on my Y2K 4.2L since I've got about 110K miles, but I first checked the connector on the downstream bank 1 sensor and there was a bit of corrosion on the pins.

Cleaned with elec cont cleaner, used some dielectric grease, snapped together, cleared the code - so far so good!
