Unhappy One problem after another

I went out this morning to keep on trying to find the cause of my high idle in my 93 f-150 (5.0) and I accidentally bumped this with my arm
Now I am getting a check engine light at normal operating temp and its showing code 33 in the ignition on, engine off test on the continuous memory side. Is it possible to fix this with some shrink wrap or something? It runs into a cluster of other (and most likely brittle) vacuum lines that I would have to replace everything. And if you have any input into my other problem here is the thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f10/high-idle-run-68809/

take the 90* elbow off and pull out the piece that is in it, then put the tubing back into it and wrap it with some tape just to be safe, mine did the same thing and it fixed it

yeah thats the vacuum hose for your egr valve. code 33 is an egr code. If what 89f150drvr said doesnt work you should be able to find something at your parts store on the vacuum pieces rack that will make it work. worst case scenario you pay a buck or two at the boneyard. I have 2 extras that I picked up at the boneyard because I've broken mine before and probably will again. they get kind of brittle over time.

Check all of your vacuum lines - usually the cause of high idle.

Did the idle go higher while the EGR line was broken? If not, you have a vac leak somewhere... Follow all the lines and spray starting fluid on the connectors - you should find it without too much trouble.
