Default "OK" but won't start.

I have a 1992 F-150 2wd, straight 6, 4.9. She starts fine, she runs fine, once she stops, she won't even consider starting again for an hour.

We put a at home computer on it, all systems pass.

We took it to a parts store & they put a computer on it. All systems pass.

Took it to a mechanic, a Ford specialist that works on ambulances, he put it on his computer, did a pretty good once over (had it for 3 days); all systems pass.

Any ideas what could be going on? Obviously there's something wrong. All the fluids & everything are good, filters good, fuses good, diagnostics say it's good. Not sure where to look or what these diagostic machines don't check. Thanks in advance for any help!

Additional details: Just thought of this. It seems to be temperature related. On days that it goes over about 75 the issues are worse. Always starts in the early morning & at night. Also doesn't seem to have an issue on very rainy days. Don't know if it's related or not. The temp gauge doesn't go out of normal range when this is happening.

Default Another update

Just in case anyone else is having the same problem. I took it to another mechanic. He said that the pick up coil in the distributor is over heating and causing the magnets to stick. Unfortunately this make & model the coil is IN the distributor. Since the distributor has recently been replaced it's under warrenty but the parts store doesn't have any in at the moment. Looking like that's what it is, but I'll post a definite after the part is replaced. Probably going to have to change the thermostat too, but that isn't whats causing the issue, just something else that was found that needs replaced before it IS an issue. Quick fix in the mean time: tap the distributor with a hammer to loosen the magnets.

I LOVE my truck. I'm looking forward to getting her a paint job & classic tags. I am VASTLY amused at everything that has gone wrong this past year, the temporary fix has been to hit something with a hammer. :-D
