a light flim or caked in oil? If they are dry and brown they are "perfect". Did any of them have white stuff on them?

Was your truck smoking at ALL!! If so was it just a little on start up or was it all the time... A little smoke on start up could be your valve seals are seeping when shut off... Smoking all the time your looking at piston rings

do a compression test. if those 2 or 3 cylinders with the gunked up plugs come up with lower compression than the others, try putting a little oil down the plug holes and try the compression test again. if compression is better than no doubt it's your rings. if the cylinders with low compression are side by side it's quite possible you have a bad head gasket.
