Default oil pump

title says it all. i needc to change out my oil pump on my '91 f150(5.8). do i have to raise the motor? what else am i in 4?

Yes to get the pan down as far as it goes to get the pump out, and remember the puckup tube is bolted to one of the main caps. And you might need a 9\16 wrench for one of the bolts. Get a 1 piece oil pan silicone gasket, Felpro makes one. Other than that its pretty easy, you dont need to remove pan unless you want to clean it.

NP. Thanks bronc I will correct. I cant spell too good my eyes are going. Besides the problem with these new fangled toshiba laptops is shiny keys. Can hardly see the dang letters.
