How much of apta is it to change the oil pump on a 95 with a 4.9 motor

you have to jack up the motor to get the pan off. Other than that it's not that bad. Definitely something you could do in a weekend

Do you have to remove the intake to get enough clearance or can you just undo the motor mounts and go?

why do you need to change the oil pump? they very rarely ever go bad....ever.

X2..........Just guessing that maybe your showing low oil pressure, if so, get a mechanical gauge and check it. My dash gauge shows nearly zero pressure, my mechanical shows 22psi at idle up to 50psi warmed up at 2000rpm. I've replaced my sending unit twice and now know my stock gauge is bad.

Probably your wiring. If the gauge reads anything it is working.

I am showing no oil pres on both the dash and on the guage mounted on my pillar
