Default Off center steering wheel

The steering wheel on my f150 is about half a turn to the right. It makes right turns fine, but not left turns. I wad thinking maybe the PO put the pitman on incorrectly. Do the pitman on these trucks have a groove to be installed one way only or can it be possible to install it whichever way you wanted?

I dont think they have a key way. That would prevent it from being adusted. I'm having issues on my 95 4x4. It's only got 90 k on it.

The steering wheel is almost half a turn off. Makes great right turns, but lousy left turns. I believe the pitman only goes on one way, so I don't know what is wrong. I bought ghe truck like this. 4x2 92 f150

Pitman only goes one way.
That's usually more of an alignment issue when the steering is off.

I have the same problem with my 96 F150 4x4 (p/steer model). Turn the steering all the way to one side and then count the turns to the other side. Half the the turns back is center for the steering box. The Haynes and chiton manuals explain how to adjust the box. But more likely it's a alignment issue.
