people use a plug non fouler and drill a hole in it, the idea is it gets the O2 away from the exhaust enough so it dont pick up on all of the gases coming out. fooling the O2 into thinking the cat is still there and working. there is a write up on it here somewhere.

What he said. I've also heard you can run a resistor ( simulator ) in the line but I've never done it. Still recommend fixing it properly.

all the resistor does it put the Return voltage in the Middle ground.

The voltage is .5v to .0v so as long as it's in the middle ground its thinking its good...

BTW that only works for the post cat sensor. The pre cat switches constantly between rich and lean. If the ecu doesn't see the rich lean cycle its will set a rich or lean code and likely go to default.

correct... thats why I said the rear (post) sensor isnt "Active"
