Not getting fuel
Ive got a 1989 f-150 5.0. I started it up a few weeks back and it ran for a few minutes and died and then would not start back up. I figured out that it was not getting any fuel. I went ahead and replaced the in tank fuel pump and the fuel filter and was still not getting fuel so I replaced the fuel relay and the fuel relay connector. After getting it all back together I was still not getting fuel coming from the in tank pump. I pulled the pump out to test it to make sure it was good and it pumped fine when hooked directly to a battery. I then tested all of the wires going to the fuel pump and found that one of them was not getting power. I am still getting power to my in line pump and can hear it run whenever I cycle the key so I figured the inertia switch was still good.
I followed the wire coming from the fuel pump and it looks as though it goes through the firewall and up behind the dash but wasn't able to follow it anymore. So I am guessing this is an electrical problem but do not know what to look into next. Does anyone have any experience with this or have a better knowledge of the fuel pump wiring that could point me in the right direction.
thanks in advance

You don't have to use a real e-mail to access this site:

But you DO have to switch to "WIRING DIAGRAMS" when you see that red button.
The wire in the dash goes to the tank switch (with dual tanks) or jumper (single tank) before going back to the frame harness. It's possible a connector in the dash has corroded, loosened, or burned.
