No start after compression test
1996 F150 5.0 Auto 2WD. I did a compression test on my pickup, and now it won't start. It's hard to get a 2nd person to come help me cause I live in a condo and the truck is way far down the street from where we live, so my wife can't come help me and leave the kids inside.
I removed my plugs and disconnected the coil wire and did my test, then put it all back and it won't start. I tested and had no spark but did have power to the coil, so I unplugged the SPOUT and it started right up. It ran okay but just sitting there idling for a while it missed a couple times.
If I turn it off and plug in the SPOUT it will just crank. The distributor was replaced less than a year ago and it was running fine (except for a slight miss) before I did the compression test.
Motorcraft coil, plugs, wires all replaced within the last 2 months. Black ICM, and it's timed properly.
Could my PIP sensor in my distributor be messed up due to cranking it without the coil wire attached?
