Unhappy No power??

MY brothers 1987, 302ci Ford 4x4 has a loss of power. He said it happened all of a sudden. Some clues are that the oil pressure gauge quit working, but it's not knocking or tapping. It's not over heating either. It just has the loss of power at high speeds. It feels like it just quits pulling at 50 to 60 mph. He said it sounds like it is fluttering. Could it be a vacuum leak somewhere? We checked the mechanical advance and couldn't figure out anything. It doesn't have a vacuum diaphram like anything else. Can anyone please help me with this problem?

How about the fuel filter on the frame rail? Either that or it might be something with the pressure regulator. Sounds like its starving for fuel.

Default No power

Thanks for the come backs. I told him to do the code check also. I think it might be the fuel also. Thanks again guys. Maybe he will find out something today. Let's hope.
