you have to be careful if you go too big on the heads and cam you'll kill your bottom end torque....

stay conservative on the cam...shorter duration cams make more low end torque...

Also with big heads and cam, you might need mass air if you do not have it.

how about the lunati voodoo cam. do they do well and give good sound? i want some chop at idle. i wasted my money on the comp extreme 4x4 cam. it didnt do **** for me. sound or power. the voodoo cam im looking at has 262 Adv. duration and a 499 gross lift. 1400-5800 rpm range. would that be to big for the gt40 heads(springs). another question, would the b303 cam work. a 351 is just a 302 stroked out right? thanks fellas.

what is it going in...? carb or EFI?

carb no problem....EFI you will need custom programing or a stand alone ECM....

problem is when you raise the duration you also raise the power curve...IE: the point in which the cam starts making good power...you'll need to get the engine into this range to make it go...so you'll need more converter and rear gear for an automatic or higher clutch release rpm and rear gear for a stick shift...

Sounding good can mean other mods else where....rumpity rump is fine but if you dont do everything so it all works together it will be a turd...and a mushy turd at that

351 is bored and stroked over 302. I believe you need a stroker kit and .030" bore to make a 347 out of a 302. But dontquote me on that.
