Honestly, I'm running 2.47:1 gears with a 33" tires, and other than the lessened acceleration, it does its job. I rarely use 5th gear, unless im on flat highway doing 70, I just run in 4th gear anything over 45 miles an hour cruising on state roads. I can cruise around 45 mph at about 1100 rpms. I can still tow and drive daily with my truck. I've got the 4.9 engine and 2wd. And I can still take off quick if I want to, but due to the lift I get axle hop so I don't try to go crazy.

You probably have a 3.10 or a 3.55 in it now, so I'd leave it be.

on a tire calc the correct gear ratio for a 35 inch tire to get you back to the factory settings so your spedo will read right and if you have a computer controled auto it will make it right too.

if you have 3.55:1 gears now

would be
drum roll please

4.30:1 gears.

thank you thank you very much.

Im running 6" and 35's with factory gears and I have plenty of power and acceleration as long as I stay out of overdrive before 60 I would swap mine but Everything was Done to it when I got it that and no money

you'll be running at a low rpm which sounds like a good thing but it will be a turd in the topend
