Default New Bed?

My 94 has the usual rust on the wheel well and my dad retardly back it into the barn door putting a dent in it. My question is would it be worth to put new panels on the bed or a decent donor bed? I want something that's affordable as I'm in high school and have limited funds.

its flatbed time boys! lol jk yea id find a donor bed. im assuming that if you have a barn to back into that you also have a skid steer or loader tractor which would make the removal process easier

as far as bed removal goes, call up some buddies, thats what they're for! we put a flatbed on my buddy's truck last summer, it looks great but its only a 6ft bed and with the toolbox, its very UNpractical, he lost count of how much hes got into it, atleast a $1000 in the bed alone plus he put atleast another $2500 into the truck during the process

I would like to keep a regular bed on it. Patch panels are cheap but I don't know how much they cost to install. I'm probably going to look into that.

Finding a good donor bed is hard sometimes, and the good ones come with a price because so many of our trucks have the usual rust so there aren't as many good ones left. I also am looking into a new bed, but really for the price of the rear panels, you can't beat it. The only reason I want a new bed is because the underside of the whole bed has a decent amount of rust and I don't want to waste time with side panels if I'm going to have to replace the whole thing in a year or two anyhow.

well as far as installation prices, if you've got a welder and a tank of gas, next to nothing, bondo and paint will probly run you less then $50, if you have a body shop do it then i have no idea what it would cost, probly several hundred
