ok i have a 93 f150 with the e4od and the other day is started just coming out of 3rd gear and going into neutral. and then it will shift into 4th a few seconds later...it doesnt do it everytime its just random. can someone help! i havent had a chance to put the scanner on it for codes yet just wanted some ideas first

 

also the fluid is good and not burnt..it seems to start the problem when it gets hot

 

i bet its your MLPS also known as neutral safety switch. located on the drivers side of the trans. my bronco did that same thing and thats what it was.
