NEED HELP - Wiring on my radio
I pulled my radio out using a tool i got from walmart. I will admit it was a little tricky and it took me 15 minutes to get out but it is out. I pulled the "plugs" out of the back of the stock radio and everything is good.
TOP Left Picture: Plug that gives stoack radio power
TOP Right Picture: Plug that Connects to the speakers
Bottom Picture: Adapter Kit I bought
I bought an adapter from walmart that connects nicely to the power part (Grey adapter), not the speaker part. From the new adapter, wires go to other adapters (White, Green, and Black adapter) and then feed off again into just a wire that you can connect to whatever.
I am aware that the purple wire, green wire, etc. are for the speaker but they are not connected to the speaker plug that came off the stock radio. They only go to the white, green and black adapter and they go alone too.
I know for sure that I have to use splice connectors to bind the free wires together to get power and have the speaker stuff connected but now i dont know how to connect the speaker portion to the truck. How do I wire this so I can have sound? PLEASE HELP. Thanks.

hey man. if you got the correct aftermarket harness all the plugs should match up with the factory plugs. plug em in and then take the loose end of the aftermarket wires and match them to the wires on the new head unit plug, the HU plug should have a plug at one end that goes into the radio and on the other end it should ahve loose wires.
the aftermarket harness should ahve a wiring lable/diagram of what wire hooks to what wire. the radio manual should also have a diagram that shows you what color wire is what.
if this isnt the answer youre looking for tell me what exactly you are doing. i was a little confused with your post,.

the wiring harness only hooks up to the power portion of the truck. the 3 other options on the adapter dont fit to the other square plug on the truck (for the speakers)

That is correct. and they did come in the package. they are all connected. Do you know where I can get the correct wiring harness? This was the only FORD one they had.
