Default Need Help What Is This 1996 Ford F150 4.9 I6?

Bought the truck, a 1996 F150, 4.9 I6 manual, and this component seems to be there in most of the trucks of a similar year. The wire broke and trying to figure out the importance of what this is?

@Steve83 can confirm vacuum operated diaphragm for your blend door heat/cold air mix.

It's the fresh/recirculate vacuum motor. If you leave that vacuum line (it's not a wire) broken, the A/C will switch to the defrost registers temporarily when you hold the gas pedal down.

Temperature blend is cable-operated.
