Default need help with starting?

hi all, i just went out and bought my first f150 and it wont start real well. what happens is i will turn the key and it will want to start and turns over fine but wont pop off. but when i try it again it starts right up? it happens every time i start it. idk if its a short some where or what but i havent looked into it real far so any help would be nice.

Congrats!
Do you ever turn the key and wait for the fuel pumps to prime, then start it?

yep sounds like your pumps are losing prime, turn the key on for about 3 sec( DONT TURN OVER TO START THOUGH), then back off do this about 5 times or so, then it should start right up.

with your head out the door or window you should hear the pumps kick on and off.

nvrmnd all thanks for the reply but i wasnt payin attenchin to my starter what it does is it will spin but wont push out to the flywheel. i thought it was my engine like half starting or something, hmm i feel like a smarty oh well lesson learned anyknow how hard it is to replace one of these?

Starter? last one i ever removed was on my 84 bronco, but it was really, relly easy. except its heavy to hold up while you bolt
