Check the cables. Especially if original equipment, might look good on the outside, but could be crumbling on the inside. My 91 had similar issues when I bought it. Replaced starter and solenoid a couple times and even replaced the battery. Then finally replaced ALL the cables related to the charging system. Positive, negative, engine to chassis ground, starter ground, engine to body ground. I used all 0-1AWG cables in applicable lengths. All premade from the parts store.

There's been plenty of talk on this issue and recommendation is upgrade to larger main power cables

i had to replace my starter on too many of my trucks, make sure the starters not getting fried by the exhaust if its near it if so get a heat shield. otherwise there's always the hammer to starter solution to get it started
