Post Need help with rear end!!!

so my oil seal in my 8.8 rear is bad an i need to replace the oil seal so i get the drive shaft off an take the yoke nut off but i cant get the yoke to come off the rear end and i have no idea how to can some one help and then after that how do i replace the seal!!!!! help me!!

did you try useing a tool that uses screw strength grabing on tho the pinion shaft but pulls on the yoke cause its prob just stuck and needs some serious force and to replace the seal remove the orignal and put the new one in your going to need something that is circular that touches all parts of the seal and just hammer it in gently and then re build

Your gonna have to get a puller there cheif...A big two jaw puller usually works pretty good. Find a buddy with one or buy a cheapy from harbor freight. Just for gods sake make sure you dont jack up the threads on the pinion gear.
