Long story short, I am battling a leak from the fuel pump sealing area.

I thought it was the gasket, so I got a whole new pump and gasket.

It still pours fuel from the bottom of the pump.

It seems the gasket is not getting a good seal. It seems tight enough.

I am going to try and find a new metal ring and see if that helps.

Is this common? There has got to be a better way to get a good seal. Surely it can't be as sensitive as it is.

 

I've seen two different seals (I bought a tank that came with both and a steel ring). I didn't find it to be sensitive at all. Unless you've got some crap stuck in there
