Default need an expert

i got my 89 f150 4.9 5 speed new solinoid new battery new starter all trying to fix this problem when i go to start it the sollinoid makes a fast tick like its not sending any power to the starter i need help fast

Check all cables and conections again be sure to check the engine to frame ground cable if all are good then you have a dead battery faulty solinoid or defective starter.try removeing the starter cable from the solinoid and touch it to the battery cable side if it cranks the starter is ok then remouve the triger wire and and make ashort jumper from the bat side to the triger termanal if it cranks the the solinoid is ok this leaves the ign. switch or the wire at fault ithink in the end you will find its the battery or one of the cables.Bubbabud

I used to have that problem a lot until i upgraded from 6 guage to 1 guage cables. the solenoids overheat quite easily from too much cable resistance, thus removing that resistance is the key. If you want to go the cheap n' dirty route just double up on stock guage cables like just call me sean does. 1 guage copper is far from cheap, but I have never replaced the solenoid since and it has been 7 years...
