I need an engine rebuild kit complete for sub $500. 1993 F-150 5.0. I think it has the roller moto not sure neither do I care that is what has to go in it when it gets put back together. I have no idea of the condition of the pistons, crank, or cam. If the lifters are roller lifters I cant imagine it having any wear. Not sure on the crank though. Has only 224,300 on the clock and already needs rebuilt since previous owners ddcided to abuse, use conventional oil, and fail to maintain. I expect his from Government motos but not Ford anyway. Where do I get the complete rebuild. I am lookong to hop up MPGs and performance from stock so please no uber high compression pistons or lager cam

 

Check out northern auto parts. I've used two of their kits with good results. One of which went into a p head, b cam car with tfs intakes, 24 lb injectors etc. Always power shifted at 5,800 and launched at 6,250 on drag radials. I murdered a handfull of t-5's behind it but it never came apart and was never properly broke in (dont try this with a nonroller engine).

 

Try summit, you can probably piece all the parts for around what you want to spend.
