i have a 1988 F150 5.0. It has a efi to carb conversion on it. I decided to fit a HEI distributor for a ford 302 to it, which was say to fit and runs good, however, my problem is, when I connect the tach wire to the one on the distributor, the motor cranks but won’t start. Disconnect the wire and she fires straight up. I looked on the back of the instrument cluster, and the wire from the distributor is connected to the dark green and yellow wire
can anyone please guide me in the right direction on how to make the tach work, or so I need to go back to a regular distributor and coil set up??
