You'll know if you have a bad U joint, easy way to check'em is just get under and grab either side of the joint and try and turn them different directions, if you have more than just a hair of play they prob should be changed. While your driving if you turn either way in 4x and they click or klunk thats a no brainer. I wouldnt use a slip yoke eliminator, thats there for a reason, when the suspension goes either direction that shaft needs to be able to move with it. It is a weak point...Just another reason why IFS was a terrible idea.

Ok I'm completely lost as to what your talking about now, I thought you were talking about the half shafts on the front axle.

ehh swampy Id say we could just chill out a bit...your right its not hard to slide under your own truck and get yer hands dirty but its a simple question, no need to blow a gasket over it.

What is the actual problem that you think you have? Besides it making funny noises on dry pavement in 4x.

This is starting to get deep for no reason. Sounds like a worse case scenerio. You can pull your rear shaft without losing all fluid. It will leak very little. I have no idea why you would want a slip yoke eliminator.

Ohh I gotcha now. Well I'll tell ya what if your breaking U joints your pushin wayyyy to much horsepower lol. I dont think you would have to worry about that on that truck. If your concerned about a joint breaking just replace them for peace of mind. Its a pretty simple job.

If your that worried about breaking U joints in the DS, Just throw a spare in the tool box. Their pretty easy to change and your not stuck pulling yourself home with just the front wheels. Wait that involves crawling under the truck.
