Default Mystery Sensor

Bought a used 1996 Ford F150 and there is this sensor/microphone looking thing (See Pict). The wire looks like it goes up to the stereo (though I'm not 100% sure). The stereo is an after market Alpine.

Does anyone know what this is?

Thanks,

Kelly

It's probably the bluetooth mic for a phone connection.
