ok so one more small project done. i mounted LEDs on the tips of my whips. heres a little run through.

heres the tips

i used these LEDs and the retainers that came with them

http://www.ebay.com/itm/320785865285...84.m1497.l2648

i ran the wires down the side of the antenna and slid 15mm heat shrink tube over it so the wires are hidden

theres a lump where i spliced wires but it still looks better than seeing the wires running down the side

i left a 6" or so pigtail on each and put bullet connectors on the ends for installing and removal

i dont have any lit up pics, they wont be installed for a while

Ive done some more work to it kinda, tore out the interior, all that's left is the dash and drivers seat.

and some lovely pics of some rotten cab corners

drivers

passengers

trying to decide if i want to try and clean the carpet or ditch it and replace it

and i found this emblem from a 69-71 Lincoln Continental Mark III that im going to put on the dash

also, this thing takes up a lot more garage than the soobie

See what it looks like after a thorough pressure washing

Take simple green to the carpet! Soak it down let it sit in the sun for a little bit then soak it agin and power wash the snot out of it ! Did that to my bronco and it came out looking brand new!

you know its bad for the cb antenna to have other electronics close to it. let alone right on it, your not going to mess anything up but it will mess with your reception and call out.
