mpg question
I have a 1995 f150 xlt, ext cab, longbed, 2wd, 5.0L automatic gas. got 16.5 mpg on long highway roadtrip but getting 13.5 average daily driving... I also do alot of highway miles. does this sound low to you? what are some ways to improve it? just got tuned up.
theres a lot of mpg threads on here and honestly your not getting that bad of mpgs but you should be able to get more do some research on this site theres more than enough info to help you out man
I have read a lot of these, but haven't tried any yet. I seen electric fans, full synthetic, accel coil with .55 gap and i think 12 or 14degree advanced timing. experiment with air pressure in tires. I have just bought a new clutch to install and am trying to get my exhaust done when i change the clutch. I'm going to be doing all this at once so hopefully in the next 2 wks I can accomplish this and i will try to let you know my results. I see a lot of good threads, but i'm not very good at navigating the forums. I tried the search thing and brought up a lot of other threads so I wish I could direct you to the threads. I seem to have better luck searching on bing and always seem to bring me to the f 150 forum.
Good Luck!!
Good Luck!!
