On a good day I can get maybe 15 mpg
I do as much basic maintence as possible on my truck too keep it up to date, but its killin me on gas
I've done a tune up, I've done a carb clean out, I've done a new air filter, I've taken the cat off(left the O2 sensor though), but I don't know what too do anymore....Would a cold air and flowmaster muffler do anything?
P.S.
Truck is a 90 f150 with the 4.9

Hi Jake,
The one thing I would recommend is the Sixlitre tuneup. This tuneup was on the FSB forum and was intended for the 302. The standard coil was replaced with a hotter aftermarket unit, the wires were replaced with low resistance Ford Motorsports spirial core ones, and the spark plugs were copper core Motorcrafts gapped at .055 instead of .044. The base timing was advanced to 14 degrees BTDC, stock is 10 deg BTDC
On my 95 300 I used Autolite copper core spark plugs gapped at .050 instead of .044 and set the base timing at 12 deg BTDC. My engine pinged too much at 14 deg BTDC. I replaced the spark wires with Taylor spirial core low resistance ones. After market coils have a higher failure rate than the stock ones and the published voltages aren't much higher so I kept my stock one.
I can't really say it increased gas mileage because my plugs and wires were long overdue for replacement but it did increase about 2 MPG and the performance was noticable.
Your stock intake is already A Cai and if your exhaust is due for replacement look for high flow components and a 2.75" system. Keep your tires aired up and speed down. I have a dash mounted vacuum gauge that helps.
My gas mileage average is 16-17.5 overall with a best of 20 Mpg at 60 Mph and about 18.5 at 70
YMMV

I'm running no muffler (full exhaust) and the stock box and tubing with a K&N drop in... I get 20 city and 24 highway without really trying....

there is plenty you can do... the quaetion is how much do you want to change it?

Go here and look up the 'window sticker' EPA gas mileage for your truck.
http://www.fueleconomy.gov/
I would not expect to get any better than that.

Also those who are running larger than stock size tires are getting a bit better mileage than what they calculate.

window sticker EPA mileage is pretty conservative.... I always get more than the sticker says

I've been thinking about doing a cold air, and a flowmaster muffler
Would there be a slight change you think?

I noticed more with the drop in and no muffler... stock box is fine...thats the coldest air you will get. those FIP kits still allow warm air in
