Default Moving the shifter

High guys. Got a question. Got a 95 with a 302, auto tranny. It has a column shifter and I was wondering how hard (or possible) it would be to move the shifter to the floor and installing a hurst/b&m shifter. If any of you know how to do this and how hard it would be please let me know. Thanks.

i'm not for sure, but i've heard that any shifter for a C4-C6 will work with very minor mods if you have a e40d
but thats what i could find online from other sources.
i gave it up, because i wasnt about to buy a 200.00 dollar shifter and it endup not working.

I am not sure how hard it is, but I used to own a 1974 F100 Ranger that had the column shifter. The linkage broke and a local shop did a little modification and hooked up a floor shifter I got out of a car at the local junk yard. It worked fine for me, though it was not a Hurst.

it's real simple, because you current transmission already has a cable operated shift mechanism. All you'll need to do is move it from the end of the to your floor shifter. You may need to fab a bracket so the cable comse in from the other direction depending on which direction the shifter arm travels. Also the PRNDL may not be acurate if the arm of the transmission isn't the correct length, but you could always modify that as well.
