Default mounts - engine and transmission

My 1996 2 wd 4.9 is due for these. Rubber parts look crushed and dry. Plan for the oil pan change/gasket as well.
Only worry for now is someone saying the engine/transmission shifted toward the rear when the mounts were off-? My driveway slopes down a little and with engine jacked up, that is my fear. But how can it move backwards with the drive axle there? Can the u-joint and/or the whole rear axle move too? And if the engine/transmission moves, how do I move it back into the right position,- put a register mark before loosening them?
I guess I can put wood blocks on rear wheels to level the truck. If the bed rail is level, does that mean less chance for the engine to shift?
Second question: The bolts in engine - easier to remove if the engine is hot? The mount nut - special problems turning these (exhaust and water pump bolts seem to break often)?
Thank you in advance.

do 1 set of bushings at a time, unbolt the engine and do those, then do the transmission. what are you using to pick the engine up?

also the engine/transmission bolts you just need to put something on them like PB blaster or WD-40 and get a breaker bar, they aint hard to break lose.

also your driveline has a slip yoke so that's where it would move.
