any oppinions on where i can pick up a 5.0 thats in good shape that i can put in my 96? just something to tool around with and be able to put in my truck later on.
i dont need a cam or be able to light up the tires all the way down the street. just need a good solid motor

I would try a salvage yard where you can hear it run....

 

richland hills texas. right out side fort worth. and the junk yards by me are a hit and miss kinda situation. already checked craigslist and most of the adds are pretty shakey as well

Bad thing is...the cash for clunkers mandates destroying all the vehicals turned in....beings Ford F150s and Exploders were high on the list there was/is alot of them turned in around here...

Dealers then put Sodium Silicate in teh fuel...as soon as it hits the engine it seizes...which I consider BS...there are alot of good used parts that could be utilized...

 

i really dont understand why they do s*** like that. they want to help the economy but destroy things that could be turned around and sold. makes no sence
