Edit: Should have made the title improved suspension.

Ive been interested in the prerunner Rangers lately, and considered doing something similar with my truck..

Anyways, without breaking the bank how can I accomplish better suited suspension for offroading, or more travel. Something that won't be as rough, and can handle the bumps/rocks a lot better? Im not doing any serious offroading, seeing as how this will still have to remain my daily driver.

Well there are a quite a few things. Now we all know our TTB is no rockcrawler suspension, but you can mod it to do some great trail riding and jumping. Rear suspension try not to go over 4in for a lift. Once the springs are arched too much you will lose the uptravel to a degree. Try revolver shackles in the back. You will gain a lot of droop. Front suspension, easiest thing to do is sway bar disconnects, along with longer radius arms. That's about the easiest way to go. Now if you're going to go with a really big suspension you're going to have to get creative both front and rear. Shackle flip with revolver's in the rear, front you may have to do a cut and turn on the front axle halves. There are new D44 balljoints out that are much stronger than you're typical NAPA joints, and new CV style axle shafts that will kill our u-joint type axles. Of course this is all custom, meaning expensive but depending on what you have planned, you can make these things preform. Go to pirate 4x4.com and type in D50 or TTB and you'll find a couple of cool builds, including an Avalanche that a guy put a D50 in as a daily driver. Have fun reading
