Default More starter trouble

I have a 1995 F150 4wd auto that is driving me nuts. I bought it from a local car dealer. The engine blew after about 50 miles. The dealer replaced the engine free of charge. The 5.0 that they put in it is out of a 1993. A couple of days ago I started having starter problems. The starter was cranking even with they key off. I replaced the solenoid on the firewall. This helped for a very short time. Took starter off and had it checked. It checked out bad. Replaced it with a remanned starter and it's working fine. Now the truck isn't charging. It'll run until the battery goes dead and then it shuts off. Took altenator off and had it checked. It checked out fine. I'm pulling my hair out. I know it's gotta be something simple. Any ideas?

Like the cables themselves &/or connection integrities.
The BAT light is on while driving? Gauge showing discharge?
Also possibly a dead cell in battery.

Dont panic. Start SIMPLE. The alternator checked OK. So next I'd check the battery. Make sure the terminals are clean - it DOES make a difference.

You can do it!
