Default Mid-position of rod lash????

Hey All,

Installing new ignition switch on 88 Ford F150. Ingition Switch located on column under dash--installation instructions I have found say to move the switch up and down the column until you find the

Mid position of rod lash?? What in the @#!! does that mean?

I understand everything except for that. Any help would be appreciated.

basically what they mean is line if up with the bolt holes where you took it off... there is a little bit of adjustment in the position of the switch... put it in the middle of that travel... it should feel normal where it turns on and starts...
